Dr. Fernando Fariñas
Fernando is director of the Institute of Clinical Immunology and Infectious Diseases, and his research activity currently consists of three key areas: infectious diseases that can be transmitted between humans and animals, which are called zoonoses; immunology and infection, studying the relationship between immunity and infectious agents; and the closely related field of vaccinology.
